The other day, Grannie Bay once again got Katlynn and Kayla's name mixed up. Katlynn tells her, "You can call me Kayla". LOL, how funny is that?...

Sleeping Sweeties

The other night I woke up about 2 am and couldn't sleep. I got up and messed on the computer a bit and when I went back to bed this is the cuteness that was waiting for me...

Our Little Ruidoso Trip

We took a little trip to Ruidoso right after Kit's party, for some family time.


We, of course, went to the horse races. Kit loves watching the horses and picking out her favs. Brother, well, not so much...


Then there was a little fishing...minus the fish...


and a little swimming. Brother went skinny dipping and loved it!


Then we stopped in Cloudcroft to see this train bridge John remembered from childhood. But he was met with a surprise when he got Brother out of his seat, GROSS! And funny thing is it took John probably 5 minutes to realize it.


We also went over to White Sands to see what that was all about. Kit and John had fun.


Brother and I thought it was a little too windy...


So we headed back to the truck for some shelter and teething time.

She's 4! Happy Birthday, Kit!

Little miss had a wonderful Princess and Prince themed 4 year old birthday party. Her family friends and friends from school came. All the girls were dressed as princesses. There was coloring, a castle "pin-la-ta" (how Kit says pinata), music, and of course cake and ice cream! Mom (again, what am I thinking?!) made the cake. It was a pink castle cake and I do have to say, it was a huge hit. She got tons of toys and had a blast! I think this was her best party ever.



Brother also had a little treat. His little "girlfriend", Kylie, was able to come. She is 2 months younger than him. They had so much fun playing together. Well it was mostly uncontrolled head bobbing and arm swinging. ha.

It was a "Hairy" day!

So I am sure most of you know but 2 days before Katlynn's 4th birthday party she cut her own hair. On both sides! And short!

After I calmed down, I called my dear sweet cousin, Jessica, and she worked us in that day. Now that the shock is over, I really like the shorter hair. Jessica made it way cute. So much better than the mullet she did have, ha.

Carson is smiling now however he does this in between screaming (like a girl!). He is a cutie but very trying baby. The smiles and seeing his sister with him make it all worth while.
