So today I go out to feed and just recently moved where I have been feeding the donkeys since the sprinklers where starting a flood in that area. The donkeys still stand in the old place and I go over to get Pokeno and start leading by the bottom of his halter to the new feed spot. He turns his head around and tries nipping at me, I smack him a little on the nose and he tries it again, another smack. Then he finally gets a hold of me and wouldn't let go. He wasn't biting hard, just those love nips but still hard enough. I didn't want to hit him too much in fear that he would bite harder. Then he started to grind his teeth with my arm flesh in them. Finally he let go, whew! And this is what he left. And I do say that he truly loves me and this is how he shows his affection. Love bites!
