Yesterday at school was
Show and Tell. For the 2 year old class, they were to bring their favorite stuffed animal. When I asked Katlynn that morning which animal she wanted to bring, there was no delay, "Kitty"! This kitty was recently picked up on the 4 generation Dallas trip at IKEA. It was one of those things that Katlynn sneaks into the basket and before I realize it, it has already been rang up at the checkout line.
She had a blast showing off her kitty and seeing the other animals that the kids brought. When I asked her after school what everyone else brought she told me, "a horsey". When I probed her a little more, that was it. No dogs, no teddy bears, nothing. Just kitty and horsey.
Later during the day, while getting ready to go to dinner and waiting on Dad to finish up in the shop, her and her dad had this conversation. I am sure you can all relate.
K: What is this? Is it broke?
Dad tells her.
K: huh? What is this? Is it broke?
D: huh?
